Elizabeth Ramirez Child & Family Counseling

Getting Started

As of November 8, 2022, my practice is closed to new clients. Please check my availability in January 2023.

How to Begin

Your therapy process starts when we make arrangements for the first meeting. The beginning includes formalizing our plans for your therapy goals. This consists of finalizing necessary agreements and sharing important information with you.
I begin with a comprehensive assessment for us to develop a treatment plan. Our work is collaborative. The therapy will be productive when the plans that develop from our meetings are put into practice in your daily life.

Insurance Plans

I am contracted with various insurance companies.  You can confirm whether or not your insurance can be used in our session by contacting your insurance company or searching the insurance directory.

Fees and Payment

I have various options to manage the cost for therapy sessions. I am contracted with some insurance companies. I will prepare the insurance billing if your plan offers reimbursements. A sliding scale is available on a limited basis. Payment is expected at the time of service. When using insurance plans, the copay will be due for each visit.

Cancellation Policy

Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice or missed sessions will be charged to the client. The fee is equal to the total cost of the session.

The therapy experience is a confidential process where I protect your health information. Confidentiality offers clients a setting to freely express your concerns. This privacy allows clients to make progress at their pace. However, what happens in a session doesn't always stay in a session. A therapist is obligated to break confidentiality in the name of public safety and a client's health and safety.
